TWIBO Answers

1. Why become an affiliate? An affiliate business is easy to set-up and easy to manage. And you can fit it in to suit your lifestyle whether you're in full time employment and want some extra cash or you want to start a business of your own.

2. There are a zillion affiliate programs out there, why become a hotel affiliate? There are pluses and minuses to all affiliate programs and the decision for which to go with is down to personal choice. The travel industry is clearly one of the biggest on the internet and there’s no shortage of customers. Hotels are typically quite high value products so, if you’re on a percentage of the sales price you’re better off with a hotel which averages $300 per sale than a book at around $10.
3. How much money can I make with Twibo? This really depends on you. If you put little or no effort into marketing you’ll make the odd sale and earn very little. If you work at it you should start to see sales coming in quickly and a monthly income of $2000+ is realistic within the first year. Twibo is very focused on making sure all its affiliates are maximizing their potential. Most affiliate programs give you the minimal assistance and hope that you’ll find your way. At Twibo we manage all our affiliates individually and work out how we can best work with your structure. Don’t take our word for it though, take a look at the others and you’ll see the difference.
4. How long does it take to set up the affiliate program? From the time we approve your application you can be up and running in a few hours, with hundreds of pages of hotels on your site and visitors can start booking hotels in your site from that point on.
5. How long does the affiliate programme last? The affiliate program lasts for a miniumum period of two years from the date the agreement is accepted and signed by Twibo. The agreement will be automatically renewed for successive periods of one year each unless either party cancels it in writing no later than 90 days before the end of any annual period.
6. What sales commission will I receive from Twibo? Every hotel room booked through your site will generate you a guaranteed commission of 6% of the total booking value, inclusive of tax (the travel industry standard rate of commission is 5%). As an extra incentive we will increase your commission where you reach certain targets.
7. When will Twibo pay me my affiliate commission? All Affiliate payments are paid by the 15th of the month for all fulfilled bookings the previous month. However, in the case of your commission amounting to less than $25 in any month, you will be paid quarterly.
8. How can I get paid? Payment is made to US Affiliates by US Dollar Check. Payment is made to EU affiliates by Euro Cheque. Payment is made to UK Affiliates by STG Cheque * Request for form of payment is made when signing up.
9. How does Twibo track the bookings? Each affiliate is assigned a code which enables us to track all booking made through your site. At every point in the process we can identify and follow all your bookings.
10. How can I access my booking statistics? Twibo has an easy-to-use online reporting system to which you will have access through using your username and password, designated when you sign up. Twibo presents you with a comprehensive view of your bookings which you can access 24 hours a day. The system also serves as a useful tool with which you can make forecasts for your income from future sales.
11. What’s to stop Twibo stealing my clients or failing to track bookings? It’s a fair question but it misses the point. We run an affiliate programme because we need you. You all do things a bit differently. You all display the content in a different way, some of you combine it with other products, you cover different markets and different languages. You can attract customers that wouldn’t come to us so it’s in our interest for you to flourish. That’s not to say some short term companies don’t poach their affiliates customers. We don’t.
12. Which countries does Twibo cover? Currently we have hotels in 20 major European destinations and we're constantly adding new countries, cities and hotels.
13. Can my site link directly to hotels in a particular country or city? Yes, it’s up to you which products you want to add and at what level (country, city, hotel) you want to connect to us.
14. Can my site list straight links to specific directly contracted hotels? Yes - we will be very happy to provide you with whatever hotel information page URLs you require. These URLs will link to the hotels information page from which your site users can then proceed to view hotel descriptions and images, check room availability and make their secure booking. You will be provided with your own subdomain, on which all of these pages will be hosted, and through which we track the bookings, ensuring that you receive your commission on all sales.
15. Who handles customers if they have a query or complaint? We do. As an affiliate you are not responsible for handling customer queries. This is clearly stated in all our correspondence and you should refer customers to us should they contact you directly.
